Can you charge your iPhone 7 and listen to music on headphones at the same time?
Apple has unveiled its new iPhone 7, which has no traditional headphone jack as well as a dual camera on the Plus model. While a serious annoyance to consumers, this could be a boon for those Apple revenues, which will also include new Beats headphones announced Wednesday.
You’ve got options. Apple will be including a pair of headphones in the box with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus that connect to the phone’s lightning port.
The new generation of iPhones uses A10 Fusion chip works twice faster than iPhone 6. Critics have already complained that their old headphones won’t fit in the charging port without an adapter.
Apple made its account on Twitter official – with a blue checkmark to show the messages were legitimately from the company – just five days ago, with the intention of using it to promote the phone. “The courage to move on and do something new that will benefit all of us”. The new version is clumsily named Apple Watch Series 2.
Ltd.’s USA -listed shares jumped more than 20 percent to trade around $35 after it announced a new smartphone game in the venerable “Super Mario Bros.” series, “Super Mario Run”, which will debut in December on the iPhone and iPad.
The new iPhones come with high-resolution cameras, a force-sensitive “home” button and water and dust resistance capabilities, among other features.
But with Apple’s headphone elimination, a jack-less future just got ushered in a little bit faster. But the ones that Apple designed for you are small, and there’s two of them, and at a price of $159, they’re damn expensive, all of which indicates that they’re going to go missing instantly.
Sales of the iPhone dropped two quarters in a row this year, the first declines in the history of the device. That streak stopped with the release of the Apple Watch previous year, though executives maintain that sales have exceeded expectations. 16, and will be sold eventually through major telco companies.
But this decision may deter many from upgrading to the iPhone 7 or even sticking with Apple.
Apple CEO, Tim Cook said “it’s the best iPhone that we have ever created”, but Chicagoans had some disagreements with that statement, CBS 2’s Vince Gerasole reports.
“Smartphone advancements are slowing down as the market is maturing, so minor things like look and feel get more attention”, O’Donnell said, pointing out how Apple spent several minutes of its presentation extolling the virtues of an optional “jet black” finish for the new phones. And she’s not anxious about any backlash over elimination of the hardware jack.
While no price was announced, the Apple Watch Nike+ arrives in late October. Orders will start this Friday.
Apple isn’t the only company ditching the jack. It will be available as a free download beginning September 13. It will also be waterproof enough to allow people to swim with it and will have built-in Global Positioning System.
This is the original Apple Watch we’re talking about here, renamed as of today the Series 1.

Disappointingly the new feature won’t be available at launch and will come as a software update later in the year. Despite waning iPhone demand in recent quarters, partly due to the lull between product launches, the device continues to be the biggest source of Apple’s revenue.
