Apple fixes iOS 10 problems after update bricked iPhones and iPads

However, just less than an hour after launch, social media was flooded with complaints from users that their iPhone and iPad devices are getting “bricked” after attempting the over-the-air iOS 10 update.

It could be the best time to update your device now as Apple started rolling out some fixes and changes. There are a lot of factors involved, including the massive spread of different phones and hardware configurations, but the disparate nature of Android is defintitely a problem for manufacturers.

Accessing WhatsApp using Siri on your iPhone with the latest iOS 10 is now available. The tech monster has even described iOS 10 as their biggest iOS release ever, according to Mirror.

The statement goes on to say, “The problem was quickly resolved and we apologize to those customers”.

Downloading the iOS 10 to your Apple device is easy. So long as your device doesn’t still use the old 30-pin connector, chances are you can download iOS 10.

This isn’t the first time Apple has suffered bricking problems when rolling out a software update.

Users who backed up their phones before installing the update haven’t lost their data and they were able to recover it from iTunes.

According to the company’s official Twitter account, Apple is now working on an update for the affected phones and hopes to resolve the issue “within the next 48 hours”. A prompt should appear in iTunes asking whether you want to update or restore. The new version 2.16.10 of WhatsApp will also allow you to ask Siri to make calls to anyone.
