Apple goes small for new iPhone, iPad
The iPhone SE will be available for pre-order from Thursday, March 24th, just ahead of Easter. That’s less than the $450 price tag for the 5s. It also has a 12-megapixel iSight camera with support for 4K video recording, an 8-megapixel selfie camera. It also has the TouchID fingerprint sensor to support Apple pay.

The iPhone SE comes in two storage capacity sizes, and four colours: silver, gold, space grey and rose gold.
Perhaps the most significant thing about the iPhone SE is its price.
The handset will be first made available in a few select countries, including the United States, Australia, Canada, China, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Singapore and France.
Apple has been steadfast in its opposition to unlocking the iPhone’s encryption or creating a backdoor into devices because it believes doing so could compromise the privacy and trust of millions of device owners.
Apple has downsized the IPhone in the hope of opening up gaps around its larger devices in an attempt to combat an expected slowdown in demand in 2016.
Compared with that high-stakes contest – which has broad implications for the technology industry, consumers and law enforcement – Apple’s new products were small ball.
The new iPad Pro has a 9.7-inch display while the the original business-geared tablet has a 12.9-inch display. Here is what the VP told the audience, Like us on Facebook “Most of our customers love larger iPhones, but today we’d like to talk about smaller iPhones”. The device represents a complete overhaul of the iPad Air 2.
The release also included a smaller iPad Pro, a software update – with blue light reducing night mode- a health app called Carekit, and a $50 price reduction in the Apple Watch.
Price starts at $599 and goes up to $899 for the new 256gb version.
Specification: The new tablet comes with a 9.7-inch “True Tone Display”, A9X processor, and M9 motion co-processor.
“They are filling the gap they see in the range because the iPad Pro, which is 12in, is just ginormous”, he said. Canadians will be able to buy the phone from an Apple retail store on March 31.
In a news conference at Apple’s Cupertino, California, headquarters, Cook said the company would stand fast.
