Other major changes come from the iPhone 7’s camera which has been completely redesigned. The other two are high efficiency cores. It has an embedded M10 motion coprocessor and it is said to be 40 per cent faster than the A9 and two-times faster than the A8. There’s an embedded M10 motion coprocessor in the SoC too.
All this shows investors, despite media hoopla, aren’t looking for much from the iPhone 7, says UBS analyst Steven Milunovich in a note to clients. There’s optical image stabilization across all models (previously limited to just the Plus), a new lens, new sensor, and new flash.
So far, the few dual-lens smartphone cameras to hit the market have missed the opportunity to include a longer, portrait-friendly lens. The iPhone 7 will switch to those cores, and power down the more powerful options, when you’re performing a task like checking your email.

Apple saw a 56.7 percent year-over-year drop in sales of the device in the past quarter, research firm IDC said. The bundled ear pods will also now connect via the iPhone 7’s Lightning port rather than a 3.5mm audio jack.
As part of the transition, Apple also is introducing wireless “AirPods” that will sell for $160. It comes powered by the Apple W1 chip and combined with the battery case, the AirPods give 25hours of battery life. They are IPS screens, not OLED, dubbed Retina HD displays. That means a resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels for a pixel density of 326ppi. The good news for Apple though, is that the sheer number of Apple users who still have older iPhones (estimated to be over 180 million people), are likely already at the point where they are looking for an upgrade, making it the flawless time for the faster, better performing iPhone 7 to be launched. A new iPhone 7 can provide on average about 2 more hours a day compared to the iPhone 6S, while the iPhone 7 Plus offers on average about an hour more usage time than the 6S Plus. For retailers that stock electronics, a new line of iPhones reels in new customers.
With the iPhone 7, and iPhone 7 Plus, Apple is likely to stick with a similar pricing pattern for India.

The 32GB variant of iPhone 7 is priced at $649 same as last year’s iPhone 6s and the iPhone 7S Plus costs $769. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have been made available for pre-order today (or later today, depending on when this article is published), and both models are coming in black.
