Those eager to get their hands on Apple’s big-screen iPad Pro tablet don’t have too much longer to wait.
Whereas the iPad mini uses a 7.9-inch display and the iPad Air’s display is sized at 9.7-inches, the iPad Pro packs in a large 12.9-inch display with a screen resolution of 2732×2048. Like previous iPads, the iPad Pro is seriously thin, and packs in about 10 hours of battery life.
To take advantage of the pickup option, simply choose “Check Availability” when buying your iPad Pro online, or pop into your local Apple Store to see if they have any units available. The 32GB WiFi-only iPad Pro will be available for £679, while the LTE-equipped 128GB version has been slapped with an £899 price-tag.
Apple says this week’s rollout is occurring in over 40 countries, including Australia, the U.S., UK, China, and Japan.
In terms of flavours, the iPad Pro will be available in space grey, silver and gold. It will arrive at Apple’s retail stores, as well as “select” carriers and Authorised resellers, “later this week”, it added.
“Yes, the iPad Pro is a replacement for a notebook or a desktop for many, many people”. The Apple Pencil is also used in the ad, showing off the impressive drawing capabilities of the new product. Apple’s Pencil will cost £79 and the Smart Keyboard will be up for £139.

Under the hood, the iPad Pro is powered by Apple’s new A9X chip, which is 1.8x faster than the previous generation A8X chip. At the start of the ad, it shows a highly vivid close up of the solar system which then zooms out to reveal that is being displayed on the iPad Pro’s Retina display.
