If there’s any bright spot in Create’s design, that would be the keyboard itself, which is typically excellent in the way so many Logitech keyboards have been.
All the ports are easily accessible.

The key array mimics Apple’s, including iOS-specific function keys while adding keyboard brightness controls; as with Apple’s iOS keyboards, there’s no Escape key to be found. Key travel is slightly greater than on Apple’s new Magic Keyboard, and slightly less than on its past Wireless Keyboard, a compromise that’s easy to like. I could wish that the stand part of the cover allowed you to tilt the screen at more than one angle, but it was perfectly usable.
Unlike the Apple iPad Pro, all accessories like the keyboard are all available now. How many will buy the iPad Pro without testing the accessories first is obviously going to be a mystery.
The Smart Keyboard accomplishes a few things aside from “being a keyboard”.
Customers are said to have been made to choose whether they would like to get the 32 GB iPad Pro or wait for the next shipping schedule for the tablet to be available.
There’s also the Smart Keyboard which gives users something resembling a proper keyboard to type with. It doesn’t want to because of the established Jobs philosophy that a tablet was a tablet and a PC is a PC and the two will never cross features and functionality.
For writing, the Pro features Microsoft Word and Apple’s Pages. You can’t, for instance, display more apps on the home screen. Since people will frequently want to pull the tablet out for non-keyboard use, a better insertion/release mechanism is seriously needed. And a button in the lower-left of the keyboard where the function key would normally be can be used to show and hide the software keyboard for the rare instances where it might actually be more convenient. The company also thrilled a lot of people with its Ultrathin series of iPad keyboards, which weren’t cheap or ideal, but worked well while looking and feeling nice. I get more writing done faster when I sit down at the iPad Pro than with any other system I’ve used. So how will the huge laptop-tablet device fare against the Microsoft Surface Pro 4?

The downside is that the Create is quite a bit bulkier than either the Smart Keyboard by itself or the Smart-Keyboard-plus-silicone-case combo.
