Apple is working on a 4-inch iPhone that could launch as soon as next month, and while we’re less than 30 days away from the moment when this device could see daylight, little is known about what it is going to look like.

Newly surfaced schematics of the alleged iPhone 5se offer some hints at the smartphone’s design, revealing that Apple tested two prototypes.
Though Tim Cook once promised to “double down” on product secrecy, details surrounding Apple’s upcoming iPhone 5se haven’t left much to the imagination.
The report also indicates that other than the aforementioned changes the design of the iPhone 5se is nearly identical to the iPhone 5s, featuring metal plates at the back and a FaceTime camera at the center. Major iPhone 6S part suppliers see double digit declines in sales since end of a year ago. The dimensions are the same as the iPhone 5s, although the likes of the sleep/wake/power button have been moved to the opposite side. Apple also seems to have made the edges more rounded, and so giving it a softer look. This would contradict earlier rumors hinting at a weaker A8 processor with an M8 motion coprocessor. On the photography front, the iPhone 5se could come with an improved camera, support for Live Photos, and run on latest iOS 9.3.
The new iPhone 5SE is expected to be announced at Apple’s press event next month along with the iPad Air 3, the design of the handset is said to be very similar to that of the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.
All in all, the new iPhone 5se, or whatever it may be called, could turn out to be a hit for Apple if it plays its cards right.
