Apple iPhone 6S Plus Leak Shows Stronger Body And Loudspeaker Changes

Force Touch, the pressure sensitive system first seen in the Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) Watch, will be the biggest addition to the iPhone 7, and it’s likely that it’s going to change the shape of the device.

While Samsung could be seen as Apple’s biggest rival, the most significant threat to the iPhone maker comes from China, ironically Apple’s focus market. This means the highest forecast is 15% above the average, while the most pessimistic estimation is 12% below consensus. But Apple is increasingly committed to renewable technologies, committing to the goal of “running all our facilities on 100 per cent clean and renewable energy”.

The new model will run iOS 9, the newest version of Apple’s iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch software which was announced at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in early June.

The above chart shows that the iPhone’s share as a percentage of total revenues has consistently increased, since the product’s introduction in 2007, to more than 55% in FY14.

Apple looks set to once again deliver record quarterly results, if predictions from Wall Street analysts are on the money. Moreover, the Chinese smartphone market has been slowing down (it actually shrank in Q1) and upgrade-driven sales and high-end devices are slowly accounting for a greater portion shipments, and this is proving to be a net positive for Apple (related: Why The Saturating Chinese Smartphone Market Could Work In Apple’s Favor). Retail chief Angela Ahrendts told staff in a memo seen by the Telegraph that not every new Apple product would be launched in this manner.

On top of the fierce competition it faces in the smartphone market, Samsung got the demand for its new smartphones all wrong.

On Thursday, July 16, an Apple patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) revealed the company is researching alternative energy solutions that will plausibly govern iDevices of the future.
