The new-generation iPhones and a second-generation Apple Watch unveiled at the event boast the ability to get wet without getting ruined. Faster, but less power consumed.

Apple’s latest smartphones iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus would be available in India from October 7 at a starting price of Rs 60,000, the US-based technology giant has said, while for the first time confirming the India pricing of the gadgets at the launch event itself.
Apple also removed the analog headphone jack from both new models, as was widely expected.
With Apple’s trademark Retina HD display on both models picture quality has been improved by a wider colour gamut – cinema standard in fact, which allows for near ideal colour accuracy.
Analyst Ian Fogg at IHS Technology saw “courageous risks” in the iPhone 7 design, with it looking similar to its predecessor; reserving the best camera for the large-screen version; abandoning the traditional earphone jack, and having to live up to expectations regarding water resistance. One of its cameras looks and functions exactly like the iPhone 7.
The new Home button is solid-state button which is pressure sensitive and uses Apple’s Tap-tic engine built under the button. The watch will be up for sale in the following week. Moreover, Apple has also refreshed the iPhone 6s with 32GB default storage capacity. Security is key, which is particularly good to know as these handsets allow Apple Pay to be used worldwide. According to the stage guests, there is a huge noticeable difference between playing the said game on regular but latest mobile devices versus on the latest iPhone 7 models.
Camera improvements include a new flash with four rather than two shades of color to match ambient light. It has two 12-mp cameras.
Want to shoot a bunch of 4K video? In the case of the 7 Plus, the smartphone will feature dual cameras adding wide angle and telephoto lenses. But leave it to Apple – which bought top headphone brand Beats in 2014 for $3 billion – to go the extra mile to make its new AirPods the flawless show pony for our cable-free future.
The iPhone 7 comes out in stores on September 16.
The new phone will start shipping in major markets, including the United States and China, on September 16.

The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus models will be bundled with the Lightning Connector Earpods as well as a Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter.
