Apple iPhone 7 Is Ditching the Headphone Jack

A $49 dock doesn’t seem like the ideal solution for something you’d expect any modern smartphone to handle easily, but Apple is pushing ahead towards a wireless future and this is one of the many casualties along the way.
Though for those of you ready to embrace the now, there’s a great opportunity to spend even more money here.
However, gone is the traditional headphone jack, requiring audio to be delivered via Apple’s proprietary “lightning” connector or by wireless – and that may ruffle feathers. They’re $159 in the U.S., £159 in the UK. Especially if you steal yours.
But arguably the biggest problem for office workers around the country will be that the Lightning socket is the sole power source for charging the battery of the iPhone 7.
It feels like, already, more has been written about Apple doing away with the headphones jack on the iPhone 7 than any of the device’s new features, but the story still has some way to run.
And finally, this leaves Indian customers with just three series of iPhones to choose from – iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, iPhone 6S and 6S Plu and iPhone SE.
I hope that AirPods don’t scare everyone else off from trying to make Bluetooth headphones.
Apple is also launching its own wireless earphones called AirPods priced at £159. Those are included with every new “iPhone 7” that will ship.
The AirPods are in fact quite small and it would be quite easy to lose them.
No. Now go listen to some sad music. Replacing lost AirPods will be a huge annoyance for your wallet.
As its name suggests, the device is simply a Lightning port splitter.

Schiller also suggested the Lightning dock in an email to a user who had written him about the charging-while-listening issue, according to Mashable. And now, Belkin has designed a new accessory which will let you use the charge the iPhone 7 and used Lightning-powered audio devices at the same time.
