Apple iPhone SE ‘retail box’ leaked

On Monday, Apple will host what could be this year’s biggest product event and as fans already know, the unofficial but highly anticipated iPhone SE will be unveiled, along with updates on other devices. However, the industry follower said that this will only be on the outside, as the iPhone SE will reportedly get massive upgrades, on par with the iPhone 6s, under the hood. “The alleged leak confirms “iPhone SE” as the name of the upcoming Apple smartphone and a version with 16GB onboard storage”.

The iPhone SE is expected to replace the 5S making it the most affordable Apple handset at £379.

Apple this month locked in a date for the event, which will take place on March 21. The leaked image also shows the phone supports NFC for Apple Pay. The new rumor says the iPhone SE is basically identical to the iPhone 5S. However, there have been conflicting reports about what the new petite smartphone will look like. The new phone is also expected to run on an A9 processor and sport a 12MP rear camera. Everything up to this point has suggested that the iPhone SE will basically be a clone of the iPhone 5s, but a few cases seem to indicate otherwise. It has rounded edges for smoother touch and this shade of the Rose Gold is brighter than what we see on the iPhone 6S.

It remains to be seen which tidbits of information turn out to be accurate, but the four-inch iPhone SE could be a real hit if it does pack powerful specs and the same 12-megapixel 4K cameras with Live Photos as the iPhone 6s.

“According to a tipster, Apple plans to tout the imaging prowess of the so-called “iPhone SE” in a forthcoming promotional video that features a scene comprised of 4K footage captured completely on-device”, reports Apple-centric website Apple Insider.
