Apple is changing the way you unlock your iPhone in iOS 10

Benefits are a less cluttered home screen and less space taken up by never-used apps.

In the next version of its mobile operating system, iOS 10, you will be able to remove default Apple apps from the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch homescreens. Pre-installed and unwanted apps are often referred to as bloatware. Previously, users had to rely on third party apps to control their smart home products, which was less than convenient as many apps don’t have the same set of features or even support all smart devices.

Just like a normal update, you’ll probably see a few loading screens and progress bars – and you’ll probably need to enter your passcode and reboot your device too. Finally, users will be able to delete stock Apple apps like Stocks and others, which will be made available in the App Store.

If removed all contact information will be found under the Phone app. In fact, all the apps should be available through Siri now that the developer’s kit is available.

Developers can already install a beta version of iOS 10, but it’s not yet a good idea for most users.

Apple has always been criticized for crowding people’s iOS devices with apps they don’t necessarily want.

KitGuru Says: The best part about this is that 16GB iPhone users can free up some extra space by deleting their unused stock apps. However, iOS 10 will warn you that the app is uninstalled and gives you the option to restore it.

How to restore a previously removed built-in app? One such feature, memory optimization could possibly change how you use your iPhone, which has been found out by those using iOS 10 developer preview. If you try to remove the Watch app whle it’s paired with a smartwatch, for example, iOS will prompt you to unpair it first.
