Apple issues iOS 10 beta 4 for developers, here’s everything new

The latest round of betas is meant to allow developers to continue working on the new features and APIs first debuted at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference last month, with the unveiling of each of the major new operating system releases. Given the frequency of updates, it would seem Apple is ready to unleash the much-anticipated iOS 10 upon the world.

iOS 10 beta 6 for developers and public beta 5 for testers can be downloaded right now via the standard software update system, as long as the iPhone is registered to receive preview versions of iOS 10.

For non-developers, Apple is now testing iOS 10 through the public beta program which usually receives updates a couple of days after developers (or sooner as we near final release). iOS 10 public beta 5 is also available for non-developer testers. Apple’s next mobile software introduces several new iMessage features, a redesigned lock screen, Home app for HomeKit, and more.

In the past, Apple typically stuck to a two-week schedule when issuing new iOS beta versions.

But at the first glance, it turns out that Apple has fixed one of the widespread bugs in the previous beta impacting the dock and causing flashes and pulsing icons when tilting the screen of the iPhone.
