Preorders will begin September 9, with the phones becoming available on September 16.

The new iPhone is water-resistant, doesn’t have a headphone jack and has a dual camera lens, while the new smartwatch has a new water-resistant shell and a Global Positioning System chip. However, a Lightning-to-3.5mm headphone jack is included, so users can still use their usual headphones. The phone is engineered to be water and dust resistant, and has stereo speakers. There’s also a new dual core processor to make it twice as fast as the earlier Apple Watch, and built-in Global Positioning System. Prices for the iPhone 7 start at $649, with the iPhone 7 Plus starting at $769.
The iPhone 7 camera has also had a complete overhaul.
In a nod to the gaming phenomenon no one saw coming, Apple COO Jeff Williams also confirmed that Pokemon Go is coming soon to Apple Watch. The build of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is also more singular and seamless, which also makes the devices waterproof. Just kidding. But seriously, the two new black colors are gorgeous, and are definitely more versatile than Deep Blue would have been.

Apple will provide EarPods with a lightning connector and even include a free adaptor in the box.
Instead, the company is making iPhone owners listen with wireless Bluetooth headsets or with earphones that can plug into the phone’s digital “Lightning” port, which has been used primarily for charging.
Like with every iPhone upgrade, the iPhone 7 will have an improved CPU, screen and battery life, as well as double the storage of the iPhone 6, upgrading to 32GB, 128GB and 256GB models. But what Apple really wants you to do is buy its new $159 product: AirPods – wireless headphones that look like the buds of the regular Apple headphones but cordless – for an “effortless and magical listening experience”, as Cook put it.
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will run on iOS 10, Apple’s latest update to its mobile operating system. It’s also water-resistant enough for you to swim with it.
In place of the headphone port, Apple has put a second speaker.

In addition to two versions of black – a matte finish and a highly polished jet black – the iPhone 7 will also be available in gold, silver and rose gold (all pictured above).
