Apple launches iMessage App Store for iOS 10
These new features are set to go live for iOS 10’s release tomorrow, but in the meantime it looks like Apple is getting users ready for it by launching the official Messages App Store. The company notes that bringing the App Store to Messages opens up opportunities for developers to create fun new ways for users to communicate in a thread, including stickers to be peeled and pasted into conversations, the ability to quickly personalize GIFs or edit photos, send payments or schedule dinner or a movie, all from within Messages. The iOS app link on the official ShapeShift website is also redirecting to iTunes homepage. If you’re already running the final GM build of iOS 10, then you can get your hands on the App Store through the Messages.

Apart from sticker packs, the iMessage App Store also features a few standalone iMessage apps and games such as JibJab, OpenTable, and Square Cash.
The Super Mario Run stickers, for example, are capitalizing on the hype that its namesake game generated at Apple’s iPhone 7 event last week.
A dedicated App Store for the iMessage is something we’re not used to. Possibly, we will see the addition of more stickers on the iMessage App Store in the near future. Most, if not all, of the Disney packs are animated, and include a nice handful of stickers to choose from.
The revamped iMessage is something that was announced by Apple earlier, and it marks the first time ever that the company has been receptive towards including third party apps and developers within its core texting platform. Nonetheless, we’re glad that they’re here. Users can download the pack to get a range of stickers with Mario doing a lot of things.
At this point, the Super Mario Run stickers are not showing up on the iMessage App Store.
This is it for now, folks. How excited are you for the iOS 10 release later today?

The iMessage App Store is very similar to Apple’s main App Store with different categories of apps. Share your thoughts in the comments.
