Apple Launches Swift Playgrounds App That Teaches Kids To Code
SWIFT PLAYGROUND made its debut at WWDC as a new free iPad app created to teach children basic coding skills using Apple’s Swift open source programming language. Swift is Apple’s programming language created for iOS, OS X, watchOS, and tvOS, and Apple’s Swift Playgrounds app is basically a new environment to teach novice programmers how to code in Swift. Anvitha Vijay’s Smartkins Animals app lets smaller children identify animals and this makes her the youngest developer to attend WWDC, which meant she got a meeting with CEO Tim Cook and special mention on stage.

“I wish Swift Playgrounds was around when I was first learning to code”, said Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice-president of software engineering.
It runs the player through all the concepts they would need while coding and makes it as simple as playing a puzzle game. Apple will regularly release new standalone challenges so students can continue to refine their coding abilities as their skills and interests grow.
Swift Playgrounds is available to Apple Developer Program members as a preview release.
Swift Playgrounds teaches in a raw code plus live real-time environment the basics of coding, and it’s not just the basics too.
Swift Playgrounds includes different programs that teach people how to code.
Programming lessons developed by Apple will teach the fundamentals – including creating functions, perform loops, and using conditional statements. Further information, including videos and demos, are available on the Swift Playgrounds site.
More importantly, Swift Playgrounds incorporates a custom iPhone control panel with usually utilized images and capacities as a part of Swift, to disentangle the learning technique. Right now, Apple gives users their choice of three options when it comes to installing apps: installing apps from anywhere; installing apps from the Mac App store and identified developers; or installing apps from the App Store only.
One is the Snippets Library, which allows users to quickly drag and drop commonly-used code elements from a handy repository.

As such it would not be surprising if in the near future Google offers a similar app and coding scheme to take on its rival. ATS is not a new feature of iOS 10, having been introduced in iOS 9 and it increases the security of data transferred over the web by apps.
