Apples continues to lack an official presence on the popular microblogging service, although it does have some Twitter accounts for specific products and services like the App Store, Apple Music, iTunes, and Beats 1. At the time of this writing, Apple Support had over 14,000 followers.

Tech giant Apple is making its customer support easier to reach, by launching a Twitter account. That’s mainly what the @AppleSupport feed consists of so far, with Apple posting hundreds of tweets in the hours since the account went live.

So far, it remains unclear whether Apple is replacing its Support Communities forums with Twitter (though, despite changes made to Apple.com in recent months, this does seem unlikely). Also, it doesn’t mean that it’s something unique in the world of technology.

The account promises tips and tutorials “from the same Apple advisors you know and trust”. The account would often reply by recommending the customer contact them via DM.
