Apple may have been hinting at iPhone’s launch date

This morning, we saw what appeared to be a functional iPhone 7 model running Apple’s SwitchBoard prototyping software, and now an image depicting what’s said to be the front panel of the iPhone 7 has surfaced on Weibo. The video shows what are reportedly the rose gold iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

You’re probably like us: waiting to hear when the new iPhone 7 will be released so you can finally book your summer holidays. Coming to the upcoming iPhones, there are also rumours that Apple may launch three new iPhone models this September – namely iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Pro.

Another interesting audio choice is that the iPhone 7 Plus, and likely the iPhone 7 as well, will have two speakers instead of just one.

The mockup reveals a dual speaker, which would be a first for the iPhone. While LG has used dual rear cameras as separate image sensors on its LG G5 for normal and wide angle views, Huawei opted to use one for monochrome reproduction with its P9.

If rumors doing rounds are anything to go by, the impending iPhone line would sport only basic enhancements. I think we basically got what it’s going to look like as well as its smaller brother.

When a product like the IPhone 7 is about to be launched, then there is every chance that different features of the product are often leaved online by third parties and that is exactly that has been happening over the past week or so. It’s possible, however, that the added RAM will only grace the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 variant. Still, others posit that the Cupertino, California, company is ditching the traditional headphone jack in an effort to sell Beats wireless headphones, which retail for $140 on the low end.

Ditching the headphone jack is well known, but we’re still unsure how Apple plans to fix the 3.5mm-sized problem it’s creating. You’ll also see no antenna lines on the back, although they haven’t disappeared.

As for the pricing of the iPhone 7 handsets, Yahoo! Another report suggests that the iPhone 7 smartphone will include a huge 3,100mAh battery – making it 12.7% larger than that in the iPhone 6s Plus. The revenue increase implies an increase in iPad average selling prices, which CEO Tim Cook attributed to the release of the (relatively pricey) 9.7-inch iPad Pro during the quarter. Something you rarely see or have never seen in these iPhone 7 prototypes. As for the processor?

And now that September is drawing ever closer, we seem to be somewhat past renders and on to dummy models and potentially even working prototypes out in the open.
