Apple now accepting your banged-up iPhone
Previously, Apple allowed you to exchange an old iPhone for a gift card toward a new one as part of the Apple Store Reuse and Recycle program, according to 9to5Mac. Considering that Apple is planning and already in process of revamping its trade-in program, the company is starting to offer up to $250 for damaged iPhones.

Apple is reportedly going to introduce various iPhone programs in its stores meant to deal specifically with broken displays, according to a new report. Things would’ve been even worse when the damage was not repairable and you would literally have no other choice than to rip out few hundred bucks from your wallet in order to get a new phone altogether.
9to5Mac says the program is kicking off “this week”, when Apple stores accept the three iPhone models: iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
That iPhone with the cracked touchscreen might still have value after all.
Apple believes that this new programme will encourage users to opt for a new iPhone upgrade rather than a screen fix, and thus boost smartphone sales following a very disappointing first quarter.
It’s not clear how badly damaged an iPhone can be to pass Apple’s trade-in test at retail outlets.
Anyways, the folks across the Pacific at Japan’s Apple Stores have gotten approval for a hot new commodity: a Belkin TrueClear Pro.
The program may seem like it’s mostly about customer experience with the company but actually tries to achieve more than just that.

Now we don’t feel so guilty for our Apple obsession… Based on all of the aforementioned variables, customers with a broken iPhone 5s can purchase the latest iOS devices at eight and seven percent off. Those carrying a damaged iPhone 6 Plus will enjoy a 39 and 33 percent discount.
