Apple Planning MacBook Pro Overhaul
It’s still uncertain if and when the 2016 MacBook Pro update will launch, but reports say that there are pieces of evidence that point out to its production.

The September 7 (Wednesday) timeframe is in line with Apple’s traditions, and previous year too it had unveiled the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus on September 9, which too was a Wednesday. Intel recently announced that it would put its seventh generation Kaby Lake processor up for mass production, so the next generation of MacBook Pro should feature a more powerful processor as compared to its predecessor model. And one iPhone feature could cross over to the MacBook Pro: Touch ID, which you’d be able to use to unlock your laptop or in conjunction with Apple Pay (the latter definitely makes sense considering you’ll be able to use Apple Pay in Safari soon). USB Type-C is also rumored to be on the way and Thunderbolt 3 is logically expected, though whether Apple will use USB Type-C for it is a matter of debate.
The most significant addition to the new MacBook Pro is a secondary display above the keyboard that replaces the standard function key row. Apple’s choice to go with AMD might have to do with the efficiency of the new Polaris GPU.
The new laptop’s casing is set to be thinner and lighter than the current Pro, but won’t feature a tapered, slanted body, like the current MacBook and MacBook Air. We’ve seen in the past how iPad sales fell while MacBooks still managed to stay in the game.
“On Tuesday night, the company reported a 27pc decline in quarterly profits and a slide in revenue, as it struggled to boost sales of the iPhone nearly 10 years after it was released”.
“Some people have already made up their mind about the iPhone 7 – or whatever Apple ends up calling its 2016 iPhone series”.

The lack of headphone jack is what appears to be causing the most controversy with the new iPhone. Apple hasn’t significantly updated its MacBook Pro line since 2012. “The new device is scheduled to be revealed on September 7” – that’s the expected iPhone 7 launch day.
