Its smartphones for last year, the iPhone 6 Duo feature a complete design overhaul, coupled with some specifications upgrade and this year we can expect Apple to build on what it started with the iPhone 6 last year, as its “S” lineup generally do. While the iPhones have enjoyed enormous popularity in a number of places, it is China which emerged as the company’s biggest smartphone market to date.

According to the Journal, Apple is working with manufacturers to assemble 80-90 million of the new phones by year-end, in both 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screen sizes.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple is preparing its largest and initial production run for the next iPhones by year-end, in an effort to set a new iPhone record.
A purported schematic for the next-gen iPhone, obtained by Engadget Japan, reveals that the phone could have a thickness of 7.1mm, a tad bit increase than the current iPhone which measure 6.9mm.
The patent appears to be an entirely different patent than the one it obtained in March, which also covered a new facial recognition mechanism that enables users to unlock mobile phones by taking a selfie.

Earlier this year, Apple Inc. broke its own sales and profit records with more than 74 million sales of iPhones in a single quarter.
But that wasn’t the only revelation; it turns out that Apple’s dominance is becoming increasingly focused on iPhone. Based on recent leaked images and files, the iPhone 6S will be an nearly identical, but more powerful version of last year’s iPhone 6. In 2010, Apple acquired Swedish face-recognition firm Polar Rose, which developed software applications that could recognize faces in images, similar to Facebook’s tagging feature. In the prior two quarters, Apple reported higher-than-expected results on the back of robust iPhone sales.

They claim the new NFC processor, which is used to make contactless Apple Pay payments, will add a secure element. Apple is also expected to maintain the screen resolution, the newspaper reported. In the past, Apple has primarily relied on Hon Hai Precision Industry, better known as Foxconn, and Pegatron to assemble its devices.
