Apple Releases ‘Beats Pill+’ App for Controlling Beats Pill+ Speaker on iOS
Brandin Hand (1 star): I left my Benadryl in the other room so I downloaded this app with hopes that it’d use its Bluetooth or cloud services or whatever to fetch it for me. It is an app, but it’s a new Google experiment created to help people figure out which of their friends don’t have anything to do at a particular moment (but would like to go do something). If you happen to find someone of your interest, you can start a chat with that person and plan out the details. However, now we can not search for it on Google’s Play Store.

Again, not a bad idea, but this one reeks of being a Google 20% project that will be forgotten about soon enough, or folded into an app where it would be far more useful (like Hangouts). Users observed that the app is similar to the iOS version but is integrated with Android’s design conventions like adding the Hamburger menu to the app’s upper right corner.
“Our technology gives easy access to all of your apps in one searchable area and recommends apps that are likely to be of use”, said Tomer Kagan, CEO and co-founder of Quixey. You will need either a Microsoft ID or a Skype one to use the app. Multimedia files (no size limit here) can be sent via Skype and video as well as voice calls are both available. It’s intersting to see if Google’s “Who’s Down’ will be successful at a time when Shortnotice is struggling to gain users”.
Now here’s how the app works, once you move a slider it indicates that a user is “down” to meet other people.

Unlike the first app, there were users who came out in support of Apple, and the fact that it is launching apps on the Android platform. An option exits to specify what you’re in the mood for; movie, pizza, or something entirely inappropriate to do in public (which we all know this will be used for).
