If Apple does get rid of the 3.5 mm headphone port on the next iPhone, that would mean that users won’t be able to use their regular headphones. This would further solidify the untouchable image of the iPhone in the eyes of many.

The accessory is priced at $29.99 (approximately Rs 2000) at the online Apple Store and will also work on your iPhone.
With the iPhone 7, due out next year, Apple plans to remove the port, according to a report out of Japan.
If Apple were planning on removing the 3.5-millimeter headphone jack from flagship devices slated to launch in about nine months, then it seems unusual the company would actively try to market headphones that require it. These would become useless with the next iPhone, if the jack is removed. Per usual, AAPL will probably remain hush-hush until we get much closer to the release date, but all of these leaked rumors have already begun to generate a buzz.

That’s now changed, however, at least for SD card users. They are a peculiar hybrid beast: combining the huge price and dimensions of a high-end headphone with the basic conveniences of a portable set.
