Apple has steadily upgraded components to the MacBook Pro, but the overall form has changed little, and PC Week described the unit being replaced as a “fossil” which had not had a major design change since 2013.

In an interview with Ive, Schiller and Magic Man Craig Federighi, Apple’s team of vets explain that they don’t plan to ever morph the iPad and Mac together to make a Frankenstein desktop tablet like the Surface Studio.

The notebook is also slightly thinner and lighter than all previous models, at just 14.9 mm thick. An Intel Iris 550 GPU is “exclusively” paired with the 13inch Apple MacBook Pro, while a Polaris- based AMD Radeon graphics chip is dedicated for the 15inch flavor.

Apple also announced a version of the MacBook Pro without a Touch Bar that has traditional function keys and just 2 USB-C ports which is created to replace the 13in MacBook Air in the line-up. However some leaked sources are indicating that company is looking to show 13 and 15 inch MacBook Pro through this event. With the entry of the Touch Pad, the physical escape key is no longer available on these devices.

The new MacBook Pro looks stunning. While this might be an unpleasant addition for many, the company claims that the keyboard will provide better key-travel.

The Retina display offers brighter LED backlighting and a 67 percent higher contrast ratio. Schiller also noted that Apple worked with LG closely to make the 5K display a flawless fit for the new Macbooks. Apple is giving something new to their customers.

The MacBook Pro 2016 is finally here and it comes with some interesting features as well as improvements from the previous models. The Apple execs mentioned MacBook Air but, unfortunately, those were just words with no laptop refresh to be presented.

The new 15-inch MacBook Pro, meanwhile, at just 15.5mm, is 14 per cent thinner and has 20 per cent less volume than before, and, weighing just 1.83kg, is almost 226gm lighter than its predecessor.

The MacBook Pros seem to have updated their prices as well but this might not please the prospect buyers. We may also see a new 13 inch MacBook Air this time. It is only available in a i5, 256SSD model.

The 15in MacBook Pro starts at €2,799, with Touch Bar and Touch ID, a 2.6 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor with Turbo Boost speeds of up to 3.5 GHz, 16GB of memory and 256GB of flash storage, and ships in two to three weeks.
