With Apple’s latest release event comes a new OS for their devices, this is what you need to know about iOS 10 and what new features it offers. As with the adoption of 3D Touch itself, these features are expected to grow in popularity as more developers embrace iOS 10.

The updated Photos app borrows heavily from Google Photos, which also has face and object recognition, packages trips down memory lane and automatically edits videos. This is a big deal for some of my millennial peers, and it is a viable reason for why they won’t be upgrading to Apple’s latest flagship device. Apple has also made a decision to do away with the familiar “slide to unlock” function on the home screen.
But the feature most likely to affect your everyday life is one that’s buried in another app.
That’s why it’s also a smart idea to not update quickly until Apple releases its first iteration.
