Apple’s iOS 10 update caused major headaches for some users

Apple Inc. faced an embarrassing technical glitch after some customers reported difficulties updating their iPhone operating system to the latest software, which became available Tuesday.

If you were to launch the iTunes App Store, you will be able to find the latest update for WhatsApp that will introduce Siri integration, where users can use Siri to make WhatsApp calls and to send messages.

Apple told media outlets that a brief issue with the software update process was the cause of the problem which has been “quickly resolved”.

Apple says that the initial problems should be a thing of the past, and they’ve ironed out all the bugs, so if you’ve not downloaded the update yet, Apple say it is safe to do so.

It seems a lot of Apple users aren’t best with the firm’s decision to change the handgun emoji to that of a waterpistol, either.

The iOS 10 update brings a slew of new features that focus on users’ security.

Just like the notifications, the home screen also offers a mini version of the apps, if you hard press on an app icon with 3D Touch.

After Apple had released its new iOS, some users complained that the update bricked their iPhones and iPads. A user’s favorite apps will be kept in memory, background updates will pre-cache data, and apps will launch instantly on the new OS. Without having to unlock your phone, you can see your calendar, weather, headlines and pending Amazon orders. Instead, you can answer or decline WhatsApp Calls in the same way you’d deal with a regular phone call. Also, a similar option is available in the Mail App, so users can compile side-by-side mails. This combination makes it less likely to accidentally miss lock screen notifications, but will phones be more likely to unlock themselves while rattling around in a purse or backpack?

Apple recommends you backup your device before attempting to install.

When Apple releases a software update of this caliber and on this scale, it’s not uncommon to have to wait your turn in the queue.

But because of the initial bug, some users are now hesitant to update their devices.
