Yesterday, during Apple’s presentation in San Francisco was given the confirmed release date of iOS 9 and it is on September 16, TODAY! Unfortunately, iOS 9 won’t be available on older devices. For those who gave the Beta version a skip and were waiting the final release, you can now download the iOS 9.

The split-screen multi-tasking feature will be supported on the iPad Air 2 and the newer and upcoming models such as the iPad Mini 4 as well as the iPad Pro.

To download iOS 9 on your compatible device, go into the Settings app under General Software Update, and then follow the directions.

This step is highly recommended since Apple doesn’t guarantee that the update process will go smoothly.

Ahead of this imminent arrival, the firm has already started releasing third-party app updates that take advantage of the new features in each software update.

iOS 9 builds on content introduced with iOS 8, bringing subtle design changes, refined features, improved functionality, and performance enhancements. You’ll need only a little bit of room on your phone this year – about 1.3GB – for the update.

There is also a new featuring coming up from Apple called the Hey Siri, a digital voice assistant Siri.

When you launch iTunes with your iOS device plugged into your Mac or PC, you should see this dialog box. Otherwise everything you love and cherish could be wiped from your device during the install. Note that the Apple iPhone or iPad device will restart once the update is completed, so it’s best that you do this if you have all the data backed up.

There are many native iPhone apps offered on the Apple iPhones that users do not even open.
