The iPhone is undoubtedly one of the most popular smartphones with consumers-but with its hefty price tag reportedly affecting sales, Apple may be about to slash its prices.
While (as usual) Apple didn’t reveal the capacity of the battery (in terms of mAh) inside the new iPhone, interestingly enough, the iPhone SE is rated to last 13 hours of Internet use on LTE, which is more than both the iPhone 6 (10 hours) and even the iPhone 6 Plus (12 hours).
The new device, announced Monday, is basically an iPhone 6S in a smaller, 4-inch body, and is a 38% discount to the current 4.7-inch iPhone 6S, which starts at $650. Yesterday, during the launch of new Apple devices including the iPhone SE, Cook spoke with emotion on the matter. According to Apple, the iPhone SE will offer up to 13 hours of Wi-Fi browsing battery life and 14 hours of talk time.

Rather than offering the world a sub-premium handset at a slightly reduced price, Apple has produced a smartphone on par with its best and sliced almost a quarter off the price. Its price is set at $ 399, the 16GB version and $ 499 for 64GB.
Compared with that high-stakes contest – which has broad implications for the technology industry, consumers and law enforcement – Apple’s new products were small ball.
Indeed, the company revealed that it sold a whopping 30 million 4-inch phones in 2015. With its 4-inch screen size and slightly boxy shape, the SE’s compact body functions as throwback to the iPhone 5 series, all the while enabled with some of the skills of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
While the launch of the device has echoes that of the less-than-spectacular iPhone 5C, analysts noted that its high-end specs and reasonable entry price of $400 mean that it may have a far better chance of appealing to buyers. If they have not, however, Apple will be frantically searching for the potential hole in its software.
However, after the price fiasco, the phone may face tough times in the market.
In the United Kingdom, the iPhone SE is selling for £299 (before tax) which is equal to $427 US$.
The iPhone SE comes with a similar display resolution to its predecessor – the iPhone 5s – with 1,136 x 640 pixels that techinically averages at 326 PPI (pixels per inch).

The iPhone SE pre-orders start March 24, and will arrive in stores on March 31.
