Here is what to expect.

Timeline is joined by a number of features created to reduce distractions in Windows 10.

The update was originally scheduled for release on 10 April but this was tabled following a significant “blocking” bug that was causing BSOD error. It lets users rediscover what they worked on throughout the past 30 days, with a “card”-like text and graphics user interface”.

Q: What’s the build number for the April 2018 update? Microsoft nixed 17133 as its RTM release for unspecified quality/reliability reasons. You could consider this the Spring Creators Update, but Microsoft has declined to label it as such. They opted to go with the April 2018 Update, which is definitely clearer. While the app was supposed to arrive before the end of 2017, the apps is now available for download starting today.

This is the key feature of the new update, really. This time, though, one thing is a little different: the nomenclature.

Microsoft won’t share exact adoption numbers for each Windows 10 update, so third-party estimates is all we’ve got.

iTunes is one among the many apps that Windows users want in the Store. So, update your Windows 10 PC if you haven’t done it yet. Soon Microsoft took it down as it violated Microsoft Store policies.

In December, though, an Apple spokesperson said that the two companies need more time and would not honour that deadline.

Microsoft says we lose a lot of time switching back onto tasks after, say a meeting (the average person needs about 23 minutes to regroup after being interrupted, it says). In Edge, there are audio-tab management, grammar, autofill and dictation additions. “This applies to all rings: Fast, Slow, and Release Preview”. A more comprehensive list is available on ZDNet.

Of course, while Monday is the day that non-Insiders can manually install the update, May 8 is the day that it starts rolling out over Windows Update. The feature seems like the now-popular “do not disturb” options available in many operating systems, but with the twist of catching you up on what you missed during your notification blackout.
