Apple’s next iPhone to debut next week

We have been hearing about the iPhone 7 since the iPhone 6 came out. Much of the discussion surrounding the iPhone 7 has hinged on Apple’s removal of the jack, as that’s really the biggest external change. The offended parties connected the issue to Apple’s choice not to utilize a metal shield or underfill to secure the applicable parts, as it did on designs of the iPhone 5. Along with iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, Apple is likely to launch new Apple Watch too at the event. Apple has reported its first-ever drop in iPhone sales since launching the smartphone in 2007, but with the launch of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus the tech-giant will be hoping to get back on track.

Apple on Monday sent out invitations to a “special event” on September 7 in San Francisco, where it is expected to unveil a new iPhone model.

After months of speculations over its launch date, iPhone 7 is finally arriving in September. Though there is no mention of the prominence of the programme, its invitation message- “See you on the 7th” – says it all.

So far, however, CEO Tim Cook and Apple are remaining mum on what new products will be unveiled.

And some are also picking the event will see new MacBook Pros. Faster chips to a larger battery, multiple reports suggest many changes that are expected in the iPhone 7. It will be replaced by the lightning connector for audio output.

It will mark the fifth year in a row that Apple has launched new products, most famously the iPhone, in early September.

On the Apple Watch front, expect Apple to talk a lot about health.

The new iPhone 7 may have a dual rear camera, a pressure-sensitive home button, Bluetooth-supported headphones, dual speakers at the bottom and Type-C interface (remember LeEco?), signalling the end of the 3.5 mm headphone jack in the iPhone family.
