Apple’s Tim Cook says a converged MacBook and iPad won’t happen
Unfortunately the new Apple Pencil and Keyboard options won’t be available until around Christmas notes Mashable.

According to Cook, the iPad Pro is a gadget that underscores the belief that “people use both iOS and Mac devices”.
The iPad Pro is considered to be the most powerful Apple device in the markets as of now, as the processing power is being said as more powerful than that of the iPhone 6s plus, which is the latest Apple device in the markets as we write this. Apple says the section includes Apple’s favorite apps “that take advantage of its expansive Retina display and astounding experiences”. Like with every other mobile device it makes, Apple included a Lightning port in its newest iPad. With keyboard cover and stylus accessories, Apple is clearly hoping steal a page out of Microsoft’s (MSFT) Surface Pro book to convert a few laptop owners into tablet users. If a user preorders a Wi-Fi or LTE enabled 128 GB iPad Pro today in any of the colors, the tablet will be delivered from December 1 to December 3 for free.
Here’s the kicker, while the iPad Pro comes with USB 3.0 capabilities, it still comes with a USB 2.0 cable. More recently, though, he cleared the air in an interview with Irish publication The Independent, saying that his comments about the iPad Pro were more in reference to Windows notebooks and desktops, and not Apple’s Mac computers.
The iPad Pro is a large 12.9-inch tablet; one of the largest to come out, rivaling the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, which is also a large one at 12.3 inches screen size.
MacRumors’ sister-site AppShopper also has a running list of all the apps updated with iPad Pro support. Helping matters is the built-in kickstand, that lets you set your iPad at an angle and start typing. Another notable accessory is the Smart Keyboard.
After a lot of driving and online ordering those annoying online prompts, I finally have the iPad Pro in the studio.
The 10,700 mAh batteries could have been bigger but it turned out that the iPad Pro’s four self-balancing speakers are so big that they waste what should have been battery space.

Although there are a wide variety of styluses that will work with an iPad, none of them have the device-specific features – like palm rejection and angle detection – of the Apple Pencil.
