When Apple launched the original Apple Watch in 2015, they did so with their eyes set firmly on the fashion market.

The model still has the same features as the previous model, which syncs up only with iPhones. The ceramic version will be four times harder the stainless steel according to Apple, and will be priced at $1,249. Wearers can also reply to emails (not just SMS messages as was the case in the first version of the operating system) using quick-reply templates or even dictations by activating the watch’s microphone. A rectangular display and the noted crown control.
There are three new watch faces-Minnie Mouse, numerals, and one that shows your activity rings.
Finally, Apple already made it known that the new smartwatch will have a starting price of $369 available by September 15, while Samsung has not given an official number for the Gear S3.
However, it’s the internals that have got a bump. Apple says that the processor inside is 50 percent faster and that bears out in testing.
Apple says you’re good to go in saltwater or a chlorinated pool and there are two types of swim workouts inside the Watch’s Workout app.
A notable change has been a brighter screen. The features have impressed, but at $369, it wasn’t yet a “must buy” for many reviewers.

There’s a new Dock feature on watchOS 3, where you can access your most used apps. “Only one of them works well alone, and it’s not the Watch”, Goode further adds. The distance is tracked by your stroke movement with the Watch using the in-built accelerometer to determine when you’ve made a turn. “We like that a lot”, adds Pocket-Lint. You need to have your Apple Watch on the charger and your phone must be connected to WiFi. Apps also start up much faster than in the original, thanks to the new dual-core processor.

Users should not expect lighting-speeds in apps that are slow on the smartphone. “Glances didn’t actually solve this problem, though, because Glances were so infrequently refreshed with up-to-date data”. Current indications are that apart from a select few, many companies that have tried their hand at the smartwatch product have generally struggled with the IDC saying industry-wide sales fell 32% during the second quarter. And, it does that well. Activity is designed for those who actively track their activity levels with the Apple Watch. Which, I take it, no one used. During its debut, Tim Cook famously touted the Apple Watch as “the next chapter in Apple’s story”.

When comparing the Apple Watch Series 2 versus the Series 1, the most important factors that need to be underscored are: 1) the numerous and glaring similarities; and, 2) the device performance. Fitbit sold 1 million of those devices in its first month of sales.

Apple’s dedication to fitness is made obvious by the features of the Watch Series 2. This clears the speaker chamber so that audio coming out of the Watch isn’t muffled. Some earlier rumors had suggested Apple would go there as well, but that will have to wait for a future generation. Some may have desired a more strikingly different design – though, hey, last year’s straps still fit! – but it remains the best-looking smart watch around.
