Apple SVP of Software Engineering, Craig Federighi, announced the features of Apple’s latest iOS 11 at the WWDC 2017 event.

With the HomePod, macOS High Sierra, watchOS 4, iOS 11, and updated MacBooks and iMacs – it’s safe to say Apple had a good few days.
The new operating system iOS11, set to be rolled out later this year will effectively make the device obsolete in terms of Apple’s ecosystem. You can also invoke the Apple Pay feature using Siri now.
The update will also include a “driving mode” which will mute notifications and can even send an automatic response to messages, informing the recipient that the iPhone owner is driving.

The highlight clearly was how Apple’s latest iOS 11 will make machine learning integral, while making augmented reality more accessible.

Notes is also getting a built-in scanner, meaning users will now be able to scan printed documents, import them into Notes, and then add their signatures or other handwritten content.

The camera software in iOS 11 has also been reworked to improve its performance. That should help Apple reposition the iPad as a work device capable of carrying out all the usual functionality users want from their laptops.
