So far, however, there have been no hints of any dramatic announcements, such as last year’s highly anticipated Apple Watch debut, or major initiatives like the company’s long-rumoured but yet-to-materialise streaming TV service.

Apple’s current two fold strategy of cheap and expensive might combat a public which has exhausted of screens made almost as large as tablets, heavy and bulky when buyers add a bullet proof case. iPhones break easily, which makes the case necessary. iPhones have not been built to be water proof either, which the new rival Samsung Galaxy S7 claims as an important feature.
