The iTunes Radio features were rolled into Apple Music when it launched at the end of June past year, and you could still access the ad-supported stations if you weren’t a paying Apple Music user.

iTunes Radio was announced in 2013 and launched alongside the overhauled iOS 7. Apple’s System Status tracker doesn’t show any issues for now despite numerous reports of issues with its music streaming service.

Millions of subscribers around the world began having technical issues with Apple Music’s service on Thursday. The service closely competed with Pandora, allowing users to skip songs and tweak their personalized streams. iTunes Radio also offered genre stations, and supported its free streaming with advertising.

Elsewhere, users on the desktop through iTunes were also receiving error messages preventing them from enjoying music. A subscription starts at $9.99 per month.

Apple has not yet confirmed that Apple Music is currently facing issues, even if they are not limited to all of its users, which is why it can’t be said for sure right now when these issues will be taken care of. The decision to drop the ad-supported radio stations coincides with Apple discontinuing it’s lackluster iAd platform.
