Apple has finally revealed the official launch date for its long rumored event for March, where a number of new computing devices and updates are expected to be announced. 9to5Mac reported the device feature Apple Pay, live Photos, always-on Siri, and A9 chips (with the M9 coprocessor).

Apple Watch bands: Apple is also expected to introduce new Apple Watch bands.

Anyway, Apple has been known to provide surprises so it is good to wait for the D-Day to find out what is in offer.

The “iPhone SE” would be a 4-inch phone that would replace the iPhone 5s. It may showcase the new smartwatch at the upcoming unveil event but launch it later through September even this year. The device is expected to sport a look that is greatly similar to the 2013 release that is the iPhone 5s, with some of its hardware specifications similar to the iPhone 6s.

KGI Securities analyzer Ming-Chi Kuo, broadly considered the most precise research worker on Apple, formerly said in a note that iPhone SE will likely be priced at $450. According to a report from MacRumors, they have managed to get their hands on some case renderings created by Spigen, a pretty well-known case and accessory manufacturer for the iPhone and other brands. While nothing has been confirmed, we should be seeing at least one new device in a few weeks at the Apple event although a new iPad has been making the rounds through the rumor mill as well.

Apple was little changed at US$101.17 at the close in NY.

The iPhone SE is rumored to be available in Silver, Space Grey and Gold colour options, with inbuilt storage capacity ranging from 16GB to 64GB. A longtime Apple rival, Microsoft, has seen strong demand for its Surface Pro tablets with keyboards. The backdrop to this year’s event is Apple’s high-stakes legal dispute with Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Obama administration, which has chafed at Apple’s use of encryption that make its customers’ data unreadable to others.
