Apple is investigating an issue with the iPhone 7 that can cause the device to struggle to reconnect to a network after disabling Airplane Mode, MacRumors reports.
Apple has already promised to fix a different bug with the iPhone 7.
If your brand new iPhone is making a hissing noise, don’t worry.
“As my iPhone 7 Plus was restoring from iCloud, I thought I noticed some sound. It seems to get worse if the iPhone is under load, and can be heard while the phone is sitting on a table”, wrote Hackett. If the current is more heavy, a louder acoustic noise is produced.
The problem seems to be most prevalent in the larger iPhone 7 Plus model, usually when it’s being restored from new and under a bit of strain. Apple’s launch event was flawless and there was a true level of excitement surrounding the release of the new devices.
While the hissing sound is alarming, Engadget says that it is still worth mentioning that the devices still function well. Recruitment consultant Chris Smith opined that it could be the Taptic Engine, while biochemical engineer Kris Janssen remarked that the sound is normal for CPUs and backed his statement with a link to a SuperUser thread on processor noise.

The tech firm were quick to remedy the problem for Mr Hackett after he got on the phone (presumably a landline) to AppleCare and the firm said it would replace the handset.
