The 2015 Apple TV provides plenty of exciting new features, including Siri voice controls, a new remote with motion controls and a built-in trackpad, a brand new user interface that’s based on iOS, and much wider support for third-party apps and games. The Apple TV does have more under the hood though, as well as more features, such as a built in App Store and the ability to play games. Still, I’m not sure demand on these are going to be high enough that you’ll need to preorder one on day zero here to have a chance at getting one. Only one remote can be paired with your Apple TV, so buying extras means they’ll just sit around in a drawer until your original gets lost or broken.

That addition, alongside the long-anticipated Apple TV App Store should make Apple’s streaming media player more competitive with others on the market, including Amazon’s Fire TV, Android TV, Roku and others. Touch the Siri button on the remote and give Siri a command to interact with it. For example, you can ask Siri to show you all the movies starting Brad Pitt and the results will be displayed onscreen. However, Apple wasn’t ready to start selling the device right after the keynote. As for accessories, Apple is also offering a wrist strap for the remote for $12.99, and additional Siri Remotes for $79.

Well the new Apple TV comes at $169 but it has a faster processor, which is the A8, 1,080p video output and Dolby 7.1.

If you’re anxious about accidentally breaking the Siri-enabled Apple Remote that ships with your Apple TV, the Nimbus may be a smart investment.
