Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Dock Launched In Apple Stores

An Apple Store in Berlin has already started to sell the new charging dock and it is expected to be made available in other Apple stores shortly. This means that if you were waiting for the official charging dock for your Apple wearable, you need to prepare for welcoming the official dock from Apple.

The Magnetic Charging Dock is said to come with a Lightning cable that will be used to charge the Apple Watch through the dock, but it does not include a USB power adapter.

At $79, the Magnetic Charging Dock is significantly more expensive than Apple’s dock for the iPhone, but it appears to have a more complicated design with the ability to support both portrait and landscape charging. One lighting cable is attached to the side of the charging dock. The charging puck in the center of the dock allows the watch to be charged flat on its back, or it can be flipped up to a vertical position to allow charging in “nightstand mode”.

Apple hasn’t officially announced this magnetic Apple Watch charging dock yet, but if the images which we have are to be believed, then it soon will be – and it really does look the part. Take the photos with a grain of salt, and we’ll let you know if anything more official crops up.
