The Apple Watch’s pricing starts from a competitive Rs 30,900 for the basic Sport models, while the pricier Watch Edition models starting from Rs 8.2 lakh, all the way up to Rs 14.2 lakh. In the 38mm category, Apple has priced Apple Watch Sport with silver aluminium case and white sport band at a starting price of Rs.30,900 and Apple Watch with stainless steel case and white sport band at Rs.48,900. Apple Watch comes in 40 combinations in two case sizes of 38mm and 42mm across three collections of Sport, Edition, and the regular.

Apple Watch Edition, which comes with 18-carat rose gold case with white sport band, is retailing at Rs 9.9 lakh.
The most expensive in the lot will be 18-Carat Rose gold casing that starts at Rs 8.2 lakh for the 38mm model and Rs. 9.9 lakh for 42mm version.
As announced in the last Apple event, fashion house Hermes will be designing a range of Apple Watch too. These are made of different materials such as fluoroelastomer, leather and stainless steel mesh as well as leather loops with magnets inside for quick fastening. Because it has an integrated speaker and microphone, calls can be initiated and ended from the watch itself, although an iPhone is still necessary as the watch itself has no integrated cellular capabilities.
Given the availability of over 1,300 native watch apps and over 13,000 apps on Watch app store (including the gamut of third-party apps, ) the Apple Watch has a rich ecosystem of software.
Industry observers feel Apple inordinately delayed the launch of Apple Watch in India and may have clearly over-priced it for such a price-sensitive market.
