Apple’s first smartwatch has recently been expanding its presence in retail stores. Instead it’s an experiment, says Gamet, “to see how customers react to Apple Watch presented as an iPhone accessory, which is exactly what it is”. Analyst Andy Hargreaves suggests that Apple Watch sales have been rapidly slowing.

You can get the $50 discount if you purchase one of these Apple Watch models along with an iPhone in a single transaction at these Apple Store locations: Burlingame, Chestnut Street, Corte Madera, Hillsdale, San Francisco, and Stonestown in California, and Boylston Street, Burlington, CambridgeSide Galleria, and Chestnut Hill in the Boston area.

You’ve had your eye on the Apple Watch since the new collection was released earlier this year, but with a price tag over $350, maybe you’ve been waiting for the flawless deal. They only offer special pricing for educational institutions and cuts prices on merchandise during the annual Black Friday sales, but temporary promotions of this nature are nearly unheard of. The cheapest model costs $349 and options can quickly add hundreds of dollars to the price tag. The promo does not cover the Apple Watch Edition and Apple Watch Hermes.

Second, Apple may be interested in boosting holiday-quarter sales of the smartwatch. Pairing the iPhone and Watch is a natural bundle and points to how well they work together. The iPhone maker has reported it won’t disclose watch units it sold as it doesn’t want to provide rivals insights from the numbers.

On the other hand, Apple’s fourth-quarter earnings showed that the 48 million iPhones it sold accounted for almost two-thirds of the company’s total revenue, which was $51.5 billion.

The Motley Fool reports that in 2013 Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple has voiced his distaste of OLED displays and described them as “awful” when it came to color saturation.
