When the news about the 72 new emojis being released emerged a few months ago, we were majorly excited about some of the additions from the face-palm to the bacon.
The new emojis introduced by Apple are similar to the Unicode 9.0 emojis released by the Unicode Consortium recently.
Once sent the symbols will transform into the logo, this can then be copy and pasted from your iPhone into new conversations.
A rainbow, single mother and single father cartoons are part of the newest batch of “freshmen” emojis.
Apple said more than 100 new and redesigned emoji characters will be available to iPhone and iPad users from the Autumn.
Apple has made a decision to remove the revolver emoji from its iOS lineup.
These diverse characters include new female athletes and professionals and, for flag enthusiasts, a rainbow flag used prominently by the LGBT community. There’s also a new female spy and construction worker. Now, female options are available that shows weightlifting, basketball and surfing.
Have fun with your fake guns while you can, the pistol emoji will be no more this fall.
In fact, Unicode and Apple have disagreed about gun imagery before.
Apple’s iOS 10 also brings with it a new feature for QuickType, which includes emoji suggestions based on the word the user is typing.
