Apple wants to push consumers further into a wireless world. If they live up to Apple’s claims, they’re a technological marvel, tiny and expensive.

Rather than connecting to the now-gone headphone port though, they will slot into the Lightning connector.
Apple’s most controversial move was removing the headphone jack.
“We expect that Apple will add incremental features to the iPhone over the next few years that will [enable] advances in augmented reality delivery through the [device]”, Apple analyst Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray wrote ahead of the iPhone 7’s release.

Schiller didn’t mention rival devices during his presentation, nor did he even use the word “Bluetooth”. The new headphones supplied by Apple with the phone will plug into the same port as the recharging cord, making it incompatible with most wired headphones without an adaptor. “I think Apple has a real victor here”. I have my mind set now to the Black iPhone 7 Plus.
That said, the iPhone has been a game-changer. Apple also offers a loan program without Apple Care and the annual trade-in, also financed through Citizens One, in the event you want to pay for an unlocked phone in monthly installments. So what gives? Well, there are changes with the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus that help explain the vanishing headphone jack. There is also the latest version of the Apple Watch called the Series 2, as well as a new wireless headset called the Apple AirPod.

O’Donnell, for instance, considers the changes from last year’s iPhones “modest” overall. It’s 3am in the morning and that iPhone 7 pre-order is not available yet.
