The stakes for the iPhone 7 are high after sales of the gadget dropped during two straight quarters this year, the first declines in its history.

The 7 Plus is actually a little larger than the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, which packs in a 5.7in Quad-HD display.
“The high-gloss finish of the jet black iPhone 7 is achieved through a precision nine-step anodization and polishing process”, Apple explains in the small print of its site.
The Cupertino technology giant has increased the United Kingdom prices of certain models of iPhone, iPad Pro, and iPad Air – while retaining the older, smaller pricetag in the US. While one of them is called just Black, the other one is called Jet Black.
The dual camera setup in the iPhone 7 Plus meanwhile consists of two 12-megapixel cameras: one consisting of a wide-angle lens while another with a telephoto lens.
While customers in countries like the US, Australia, the United Kingdom and China will be able to buy the handsets beginning September 16, Indians will have to wait for a few weeks. On the iPhone these work together in a couple of different ways.
The second way is the new Portrait mode, which is coming in an iOS update later this year. This is also a trick available on the Huawei P9, but as software is needed in both cases to figure out what is the subject and what is the background, it will be interesting to see how the iPhone’s system copes with tricky conditions.
Both iPhones have a similar 7MP Facetime camera, which is bumped up from 5MP on the iPhone 6S.
The Cupertino-based Apple has upgraded the storage versions of the previous iPhone models. This is used for video and gives a much smoother motion when panning or when walking along.
As expected, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are essentially what we’ve been reading about for the past six months.
The most notable thing is that the antenna bands dividing the bodywork have been moved, they’re now stealthed a bit into the upper and lower edges.
Less from an aesthetic perspective and more from a functional one, the new iPhones do indeed dispose of the 3.5mm headphone jack in favour of using the Lightning port for headphones (complete with a bundled-in 3.5mm adaptor), as well as introducing, for the first time ever on an iPhone, IP67 water and dust proof certification.
Again, dollar prices for these handsets have remained the same between 6S and 7 models.

With the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus, basically, the entire screen now becomes a 3D Touch sensitive affair which should entail in a more seamless experience. At the same time, it has increased the minimum internal storage in many of its devices, up from 16GB to 32GB.
