That’s because acclaimed hip-hop video director Kahlil Joseph (FKA twigs, Flying Lotus, Kendrick Lamar) made a decision to go the more experimental, non-linear route with his first feature about the Montreal indie-rock group’s Reflektor trek.

We caught up with Butler and Parry in Toronto recently, where the duo attended the TIFF premiere of the film along with the rest of the band before its release in theatres this Wednesday and an encore showing on Monday, September 28. It opens in theaters on September 23.

Reflektor, co-produced by former LCD Soundsystemfrontman James Murphy, peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in November 2013.

Arcade Fire have announced a new deluxe edition of their 2013 album Reflektor. The Reflektor Tapes also features a previously unreleased track, and 20 minutes of unseen footage, filmed only for cinema audiences. “Among the new tracks are “Get Right” and “Crucified Again”, both featured in live shows during their Reflektor tour of 2014, and they will receive a 7″ single release also.
