Miller, whose teams have won at least 24 games per season in each of the last four seasons at Dayton, said in the press release that he is honored to be the new head coach at IU.

Growing up in Western Pennsylvania as the son of a legendary high school coach and the brother of a local college hoops hero, Archie Miller has prepared his entire life to become the head coach at a place such as Indiana.
Miller comes from coaching the University of Dayton for the past six seasons, earning an overall record as head coach of 139-63, leading the Dayton Flyers to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament the past four seasons.
The school says it plans to introduce Miller at a news conference Monday.
“I want to extend our deepest gratitude and honest thanks to Archie for an incredible run”, Dayton athletic director Neil Sullivan said in a statement.
Miller is 38 years old.
It can’t hurt that Miller is a former college player. In 2015, he was a finalist for the Jim Phelan National Coach of the Year Award.

No announcements have been as to who will be taking over Miller’s spot, that decision could take weeks. Archie could have left Dayton sooner, but Sean suggested he wait for an elite job to open. He did not play high school basketball there.
