Archos Diamond S runs Android 5.1 on 5-inch Super AMOLED display

At this point, we should note that the device is bound to ship out with Windows 10 Mobile out of the box, so the fact that it will be available starting this November gives us an idea about when Windows 10 Mobile will actually launch. They’re called the Archos 50 Cesium and 50e Helium. Following which, in July, the company introduced their next Helium smartphone in the form of the ARCHOS Helium 50d . They’ve got 5-inch 1280×720 displays, quad-core Snapdragon 210 processors, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, microSD slots, 8-megapixel rear cameras, and 2-megapixel front cameras.

Speaking of size, the Archos 50 Cesium flaunts the dimension of 147 x 72.5 x 8.5 mm.

It will also come with a 2,300mAh battery and will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Apart from the standard connectivity options, the handset also support 4G LTE and dual-SIM capability. These two budget devices will sell for £100 each.

The Archos Diamond S, on the other hand, features a 5-inch 720p touchscreen with Gorilla Glass 3, a 16 MP rear camera with LED flash, an 8 MP selfie shooter, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, MediaTek’s MT6753 SoC with a 1.5 GHz octa-core CPU, and a 2,300 mAh battery. This latest addition is the ARCHOS Diamond S. The Diamond S is created to offer great value for the money without compromising on the specs.

Now, the company is gearing up to show off a successor to Archos 40 Cesium at the IFA 2015 tradeshow, which is due to kick start in Berlin in a few days.

This is an Android handset that will cost £159.99, which after conversion will set you back around $250, making it very affordable especially when you consider the other Android smartphones in the market that could cost you twice that amount, or more.
