As the quarterback and face of one of the league’s most storied franchises, Rodgers is set up to take the hits when the Packers fail.
McCarthy took it easy on the players as part of a long-term plan that takes into account that the Packers have a quick turnaround after the Vikings game with the Thanksgiving night meeting with the Chicago Bears.
Green Bay simply has to focus on getting this big division win over the Vikings. “I’m sure they’ll be very hungry, but so are we….”
For the last five years, Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have had a firm grip on this border state rivalry with the Minnesota Vikings that has otherwise been remarkably close.
Those two defeats may have mentally jarred the Pack in last week’s upset loss against the last place Lions.
Officially, Rodgers was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice and was seen only making some short throws during the portion that was open to reporters. Rodgers has to be smart about when and where he goes after the 12-year vet.
In the National Football League this season, quarterback injuries coming out after a couple bad games has spelled doom.
“We’ve been in a little bit of a rough patch here the last couple weeks”, Campen said. So, as long as we stay together, not pay any attention to the outside noise and understand that all the guys in this locker room will get this ship moving.
FAMILIAR FOES: The Packers will play the second of four straight games against division teams, their most consecutive division contests since the NFC North was created in 2002.
Despite the three straight losses against the Denver Broncos, Carolina Panthers and Detroit Lions, Rodgers is not allowing himself to panic and change anything.

Aaron Rodgers engineered a fourth-quarter drive that finished with a touchdown toss to Richard Rodgers, cementing a Packers’ 27-17 win over a Seattle Seahawks team that had given Rodgers and the Packers trouble in recent seasons.
