Argentina eye Pochettino, Simeone to fill coach void
Regularisation Committee was set to begin interviewing candidates for the head coach’s position on Friday.

Tottenham Hotspur could lose their manager Mauricio Pochettino as Argentina Football Association will reportedly approach him with the national team job.
Sky Sports understands that appointing a new head coach is an urgent matter as Argentina have 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay and Venezuela in early September.
Talks will also take place with Messi, as Perez tries to convince the Barcelona star to reverse his decision to retire from worldwide duty.
The cash-strapped AFA has been in crisis since the death of former strongman Julio Grondona in July 2014 and reached a nadir a year ago when an election for a new president ended in farce with 76 votes cast by 75 delegates and a 38-38 result.
The 44-year-old, who made 20 appearances for Argentina during his playing career, only signed a new five-year contract with Spurs in May.
And Pochettino, as well as Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone and Sevilla gaffer Jorge Sampaoli are heading the shortlist for the high-profile job, according to Sky Sports.
The reports from the country are suggesting that Argentina’s national football association chief, Armando Perez, intends to talk to Pochettino over the coming weeks. Both have said their ambition is to coach Argentina and would be popular choices.
