Arian Foster to work out for Dolphins and Lions
The Dolphins are searching for a starting tailback offseason because Lamar Miller signed a four-year, $26 million contract with the Houston Texans in free agency, where he’ll be replacing Foster as Houston’s starter.

On the other hand, both the Dolphins and Lions could use some help at the running back position.
Foster previously visited with the Dolphins in late March, at which point he was only five months removed from suffering a torn right Achilles.
According to ESPN, Foster is also scheduled to work out for the Lions later this week. However, Foster has publicly stated that his Achilles should be fully healed by the start of training camp this summer. He played in eight regular season games in 2013; 13 in 2014; and four last season.
Theo Riddick showed great playmaking ability previous year, but is much more of a receiving threat than a rushing threat, and Stevan Ridley, who the Lions picked up this offseason, has totaled 430 yards in just 14 games the last two seasons.

A source said Foster’s first meeting with the Dolphins, which took place in March, was largely medical. The soon to be 30-year-old has missed 23 games in the last three seasons he has spent with the Texans and is now a free agent. Even if Foster is signed, I wouldn’t draft him before the 10th round because of his injury history and the RB by committee situation.
